  • Antifreeze containers
  • Plastic bottles for milk
  • Pill containers
  • Containers for cosmetics, health and housekeeping products


Paper and Cardboard


Examples :

  • Newspapers, magazines, flyers, catalogs, telephone books
  • Office paper and envelopes (with or without windows)
  • File folders
  • Cereal boxes (without the inside bag)
  • Boxes of tissues (ex. Kleenex), frozen food, laundry detergent
  • Shoe boxes, cardboard rolls and tubes
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Books with flexible or rigid covers
  • Posters, leaflets, wrapping paper
  • Brown paper bags, egg cartons
  • Invoices, receipts, lottery tickets


Metals


Examples :

  • Tin cans (with or without labels)
  • Aluminum plates, cans and containers
  • Clean aluminum foil (make a ball the size of a can)


Food Packaging, Beverage Containers and Paper Cups


Examples :

  • Milk, cream and juice cartons
  • Almond milk and broth containers
  • Coffee cups (without the plastic #6 cover)


ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED IN THE BLUE CART


Examples:

  • Containers and items of plastic #3 & #6
  • Glass and dishes
  • Styrofoam (transportation of electronic products, meat trays, cups, etc.)
  • Clothing and footwear
  • Computers, TVs, cell phones, and other old devices
  • Hazardous waste (paint, oil, antifreeze, gasoline, cleaners, batteries, etc.)
  • Plastic bags (grocery bags, plastic film, canvas, tarpaulin)
  • Watering hoses, extension cords, clothesline, rope
  • Building materials (plumbing pipe, wood, windows, siding, etc.)
  • Items made with different type of materials (ex: plastic and metal assembled)
  • Refuse, food, diapers, etc...
